Tumblr is not a popularity contest

As much as we lose sight of this, its true. We can’t get all worked up every time someone doesn’t want to follow us or follow back, follow who you find interesting, and if they follow you back that’s cool too.

Its the same as when people anonymously post cruel messages trashing people. Just unfollow, its easier, and hating takes too much energy.


I might lose followers for this, but that’s fine. Facebook is for friends, Tumblr is a blog, don’t take it so personally when it’s not necessary.
